Create a workout

Build a named workout, then add exercises to it in the builder.

Needs the Manage class templates permission.

Workouts live under the Workouts sidebar item, not under Products, even though the page address says /products/.

You need Manage products as well as Manage class templates to open these pages, and your Orlo plan has to include workouts.

  1. Open Workouts in the sidebar, then the Workouts tab.
  2. Select Add workout.
  3. Give it a Name and pick the Class type it belongs to.
  4. Leave User on Gym-wide template (leave blank) for a workout the whole gym can use. Choosing a client makes it that client’s own plan instead.
  5. Group number only matters if your gym shares one workout across the day: each day Orlo takes its workouts from one group number, and moves on to the next group the following day. Otherwise leave it empty.
  6. Fill in Trainer explanation for the coach running it, and Client explanation for what the client sees. That one is written once per published language.
  7. Tick the Spaces it can run in, if it only suits some of your rooms. This only appears if your gym has spaces set up.
  8. Select Save.

Saving takes you straight to the builder, where you add the exercises. The workout is not finished until you have — a saved workout with no exercises is an empty plan.

The Exercise library beside the plan has a search box and three filters: All muscle groups, All types, and All exercises (your gym’s own, or the Orlo catalogue). It shows at most 40 exercises at a time and says how many more there are, so search or filter when the one you want is not in view.

The button says Add workout and the page it opens is headed Create template. They are the same thing: workouts are stored as templates.
