Undo a cancelled class

Put a class you cancelled by mistake back on the timetable.

Needs the Manage bookings permission.

There is no button for this. The calendar cancels a class and offers nothing that reverses it, so a class cancelled by mistake stays cancelled as far as the dashboard is concerned.

The assistant can put it back. Ask it — “I cancelled Thursday’s 7pm spin by mistake, put it back” — and it will, as long as you are someone who could have cancelled the class in the first place.

What comes back, and what does not

The class comes back with its own details exactly as they were, and clients can book onto it again.

The bookings do not come back. Cancelling a class with people booked cancelled their bookings and gave back anything they had paid as credit, and restoring the class does not reverse either of those. Anyone who still wants to come has to book again, and can use that credit to do it.

The exception is a one-to-one with a single client booked: cancelling it left that booking in place, so it comes back with the client still on it.

When it cannot be undone

  • The class has already happened. Only a class still in the future can be put back.
  • The room has been given away. If you scheduled something else into the same room at the same time while this was cancelled, and the room’s event limit is now full, the class is refused rather than quietly double-booked. Move the other class first, or put this one in a different room.

Urban Sports Club and Wellhub

A class that was synced to Urban and cancelled was cancelled on their side too. Restoring it here does not put it back on Urban — Urban still believes it is off, and it has to be recreated there if Urban members book it.

Wellhub is different. Cancelling removed the class’s slot on Wellhub, and a restored class gets a new one on the overnight sync, as long as it is still close enough to be bookable there. It is not back on Wellhub before then.

If your gym does not have the assistant

Add the class again as a one-off, with Add event at the top of the calendar. You will be rebuilding it by hand, and anyone who was booked on the cancelled one will need booking again.
