Give a colleague access to Orlo

Staff are client records with permissions ticked on them.

Needs the Manage permissions permission.

A member of your team is a person in Orlo with permissions ticked on them. Where you do that depends on your plan.

If you have a Clients section

There is no separate staff list: staff are client records, so this starts where every client starts.

  1. Open Clients in the sidebar and find the person. Staff usually have no membership, so pick the All chip or search for their name — the list opens on active members only. Add them as a client first if they are not there yet.
  2. Open the actions menu on their row and choose Manage permissions.
  3. Tick what they need. Each group of permissions has a Select all box.
  4. Save.

If you have no Clients section

On a plan without the client list, staff have a screen of their own.

  1. Open Settings in the sidebar and go to the Staff tab.
  2. Select Add a staff member, or Edit on someone already listed.
  3. Fill in their details and tick what they need.
  4. Select Send invitation (or Save when editing).

A new staff member is given Access staff dashboard automatically, and is emailed a link to choose their own password.

Before you tick anything

Two permissions are worth knowing about. Access staff dashboard is what lets someone into the staff side at all — without it the rest do nothing. Super User grants everything, including other people’s permissions.

Permissions decide what appears in the sidebar, so someone who cannot see a section has not lost it, they have not been given it.
