How clients log their weights
This guide is for gym owners and personal trainers using Orlo to streamline operations, engage clients, and grow their business.
Clients can easily track their progress by logging the weights they use during each class or personal training session. This happens directly from their phone, with no app download required.
After check-in
Once a client checks in for their class, they're automatically taken to the workout plan for that session. This page shows all the exercises assigned to them, along with a simple form under each one to log the weights they use.
For any exercises they've done before, the previous weight they used is shown below to help them decide how much to lift.
Logging weights during the session
For each exercise, clients can enter the weight they use in each set. As soon as they type in a number, it saves automatically—no need to press a button. This keeps the process quick and distraction-free during training.
Optional notes and difficulty
Clients can also rate how difficult each set felt and leave notes to remind themselves of anything important (like “felt strong today” or “try 12.5kg next time”).
Track progress over time
Under each exercise, clients see a mini chart showing their recent history for that movement. This helps them see how they're progressing and decide when to increase weight or change approach.
Why it matters
This system keeps clients engaged and motivated, while giving trainers clear data on each person’s performance. It supports smarter training decisions and helps clients build strength safely and consistently. We also use this data to plan each class.
