Create a Stripe account

This guide is for gym owners and personal trainers using Orlo to streamline operations, engage clients, and grow their business.

Orlo uses Stripe to handle all payments, including memberships, class packs, personal training, and no-show charges. Stripe is a secure, global payment processor trusted by businesses of all sizes.

Stripe charges a small percentage of each transaction.

Why you need a Stripe account

To accept payments from clients through Orlo, you need to connect a Stripe account. This allows your gym to receive payments directly into your bank account, manage refunds, handle subscriptions, and comply with local tax regulations. This also allows us to automate most of the client experience for you.

How to create a Stripe account

  1. Go to https://dashboard.stripe.com/register
  2. Enter your business email address and create a password
  3. Verify your email address if prompted
  4. Follow Stripe’s onboarding steps:
    • Enter your gym’s business information
    • Add your bank account to receive payouts
    • Provide identification details (for regulatory compliance)

Once you’ve completed the onboarding, your Stripe account will be ready to connect to Orlo.

Already have a Stripe account?

If you already use Stripe for your business, you can connect your existing account instead of creating a new one. Just make sure you have admin access to the account and that it’s set up for your gym’s legal entity.
